Position Overview:
The Sales Associate serves as the customer service expert within the retail environment.
They are tasked with surpassing customer expectations by actively listening to their needs, identifying suitable products, providing comprehensive product information, and successfully completing sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve and exceed sales targets
• Uphold brand and operational standards (visual presentation, cleanliness, etc.)
• Address customer needs and surpass expectations by adhering to the Uniqlo service standards, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles, and utilizing the six standard phrases.
• Maintain knowledge of fitting room standards and assist as necessary
• Operate as a cashier when required, adhering to cashier protocols
• Process incoming shipments and ensure all merchandise is displayed on the sales floor in a complete size range
• Collaborate with management to identify and resolve store issues
• Provide customers with product and brand insights
• Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting any infractions to management
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication abilities
• Capability to perform calculations such as discounts and percentages
• Flexibility to work a schedule that aligns with business needs, including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work on ladders
• Effective communication with customers and store staff
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods, read computer screens, and move objects weighing at least 25 pounds
• Proficient in navigating the sales floor and stockroom through repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
Availability Requirements:
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
• Average of 32 or more hours per week based on business seasonality for Full-Time positions.
• Open availability on weekends (religious exemptions will be considered). Restrictions on availability limited to two days per week.
