The Executive Director, US Medical Affairs will be responsible for developing and driving the US Medical Affairs strategy for HIV Treatment, providing scientific leadership and expertise to cross-functional teams, and overseeing the development and delivery of medical affairs resources and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the US Medical Affairs strategy for HIV Treatment, collaborating with colleagues across the organization.
- Provide scientific leadership and expertise to cross-functional teams, representing the US perspective and needs in working groups.
- Oversee the development and delivery of medical affairs resources and presentations, including medical education needs and research priorities.
- Assess medical education needs and generate insights related to HIV treatment in the US.
- Provide inspirational leadership to the US Medical Affairs team, creating an environment of mutual respect, shared goals, and talent development.
Requirements:
- M.D., D.O., PhD (in life sciences), PharmD, NP, or PA with over 12 years of extensive experience in HIV or infectious diseases.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Medical Affairs industry experience.
- Excellent strategic and organizational skills, with the ability to assess, understand, and communicate the latest scientific information.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess the validity and relevance of study concepts, protocols, data results, and publications.
- Able to work with a level of autonomy and independence, with the ability to manage budgeting/oversight of operational expenses.
