We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team at St. Joseph House in Emmitsburg, Maryland. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus and auxiliary buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily janitorial tasks, including disinfecting and cleaning restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash and recycling.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA guidelines and safety protocols.
- Assist with special projects and events, such as setup and teardown of tables and chairs.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Services Supervisor to plan and execute preventative maintenance work and cleaning schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including responding to off-hours emergency situations and maintaining inventory of required products.
- Minimum of three years experience in janitorial or maintenance fields.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and safety data sheets.
- Proficiency with computer operations, including email and work order systems.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to loud equipment and machine noises. The ability to work above floor level and lift up to 50 pounds is also required.
