We are seeking a qualified Program Instructor II - Early Childhood Education to join our team at the City of Kirkland. As a Program Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and teaching preschool classes for 2's and 3-4's, focusing on science, art, literacy, and sensory activities. You will engage children in social, cognitive, and language skills in a fun play-based class, maintaining a safe and stimulating class environment with age-appropriate group activities and games.

**Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach preschool classes for 2's and 3-4's
  • Engage children in social, cognitive, and language skills in a fun play-based class
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating class environment with age-appropriate group activities and games
  • Science, weather, art, story-time, and circle-time part of the weekly curriculum

**Requirements:

  • One year of experience working with preschool/youth
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have or be able to obtain first aid/CPR certification by start date
  • Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act
