Advanced Tooling Engineer for Electric Vehicle Body Structure Development

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Tooling Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development and implementation of advanced tooling solutions for the manufacturing of our new vehicle body structure. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency, precision, and overall excellence of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Prioritize safety above all to protect our team members, partners, and customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand Body-in-White (BIW) design requirements and provide input on tooling feasibility and optimization.
• Design, develop, and implement advanced tooling solutions for Body-in-White (BIW) manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed tooling projects, providing comprehensive recommendations to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Work closely with product engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues, optimize processes, and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced tooling, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to source, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge tooling technologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of proven experience as an Advanced Tooling Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment, with a focus on Body-in-White (BIW) processes.
• In-depth knowledge of tooling design, CAD software, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality in tooling design and implementation.
