As a key member of our team, the Service Unit Department Manager RN will oversee the operations of a large unit or multiple units, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care to our members. This role requires strong leadership and clinical expertise to develop and maintain clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of a large unit or multiple units, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to establish, implement, and maintain patient care and quality service standards.
- Act as a patient advocate, resolving care issues and ensuring patient-focused services.
- Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum of care.
- Develop and monitor budgets and resource allocations, identifying strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care.
- Manage and resolve human resource, labor relations, employee, and department safety issues.
- Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures to support organizational goals and business objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of nursing experience in management/leadership roles required.
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or health-related field required, or four years of experience in a directly related field.
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience in an outpatient care setting.
- Clinical specialization in area of practice.
- Masters degree preferred.
