Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Birmingham, AL. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines and after-treatment systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Sign-on bonus of $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
