We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
