Job Title: Assistant Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Program Director to join our team at Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that is dedicated to providing services to children and families in crisis.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Program Director will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations and budgetary aspects of a specific program in a geographical area. This role may also involve managing and supervising program staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support budgetary, human resources, program, and organizational goals.
  • Interact with community/professional leaders and maintain relationships/networks.
  • Manage internal/external relationships with autonomy and sound decision-making.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations as a team member.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide case management oversight in the Program Director's absence.
  • Supervise Case Management Supervisors.
  • Offer daily support and technical assistance to case management supervisors.
  • Oversee and coordinate QI processes with the Program Director and VP of QI and Risk Prevention.
  • Knowledge of interagency agreements/contracts within CBC area.
  • Participate in community/regional committees and collaborative teams as directed.
  • Ensure timely submittal of court documents and court appearances for case management.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs for staff development, ensuring annual training goals.
  • Review and monitor program expenditures to align with budget parameters.
  • Stay updated on trends and participate in professional organizations.
  • Follow agency policies and procedures.
  • Trained and authorized to access protected health information.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate large groups and manage group dynamics.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Follow EEO principles and maintain dignity/respect in the workplace.
  • Take guidance from supervisors.
  • Adhere to the agency's core values and mission statement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED:

BA/BSW degree, MA preferred, Case Management Certification preferred; subject matter expertise in foster care/adoptions; 6+ years' experience in a human service with 4+ years in administrative/program management/3+ years preferred in direct service.

Physical Requirements: Ability to travel on a regular basis and statewide as needed; ability to bend, lift, and carry 30 pounds.
