We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at the Port of Seattle. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal audit processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a Quality Management System that meets the 2024 Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) requirements.
- Oversee the triennial external review process and provide recommendations to management.
- Provide training and support to audit team members on audit processes, procedures, and professional audit standards.
- Lead the Enterprise Risk Management process and develop the annual risk-based audit plan.
- Perform risk-based performance audits and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, trends, and business practices to inform recommendations for improvement.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, specifically in auditing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA and/or CIA certification preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of professional auditing standards, including Yellow Book and IIA Red Book.
- Effective verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
