Job Title: Level II RT Technician

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Level II RT Technician to join our team in the East Granby, CT area. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Conduct tests using appropriate NDT techniques and interpret results.
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records.
  • Work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A standards.
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year of experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards.
  • Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred.
  • Completion of a forty-hour Radiation Safety Course preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and clients.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities.
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes.
