Job Title: Director of Corporate Compensation

Henry Ford Health System, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Compensation to join our team. As a key member of our compensation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative compensation programs that align with our strategic objectives and industry dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute compensation strategies that support the organization's operations and workforce needs.
  • Establish long and short-range objectives for the compensation needs of the organization.
  • Provide compensation expertise to support various organizational initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist in compensation-related aspects of integration during organizational changes.
Program Development and Management:
  • Design and implement competitive compensation programs tailored to the healthcare industry.
  • Oversee executive compensation, including long-term and short-term incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Benefits/Retirement to develop comprehensive total rewards packages.
Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure legal compliance of all compensation programs across the organization.
  • Prepare materials for the Compensation Sub-committee of the HFH Board of Trustees.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Corporate Legal Affairs, Compliance & Audit, and Diversity/AAEEO teams.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Partner with Corporate Budget to develop compensation budgets for all business entities.
  • Provide market data, projections, and trends to support financial decision-making.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and develop the compensation team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate extensively with HR field operations and center of excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in compensation.
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational changes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compensation trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Professional certification such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to drive change and manage complex projects in a dynamic environment.
