Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold and implement Encore Boston Harbor's core values and departmental standards.
  • Respond to, investigate, and document all security-related occurrences on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with Security Management and law enforcement agencies to maintain optimal safety and security throughout the property.
  • Assist in triaging and ensuring scene safety during initial security incidents.
  • Ensure timely submission of all security reports.
  • Collect and maintain evidence related to security incidents, demonstrating a proper chain of custody.
  • Manage guest relations effectively, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain access to secured areas as necessary.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to departmental and company safety protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to stay informed about industry developments.
  • Work with guest claims and risk management to minimize liability while delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Contribute to departmental performance and uphold the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies, as well as federal and state laws.
  • Deliver high levels of service and satisfaction across the property.
  • Participate in company-wide communication and best practices.
  • Assist in providing training opportunities for team members.
  • Stay updated on all departmental developments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Age, Gaming, and Certifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must obtain and maintain a Gaming license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Must acquire and maintain any required licensing or active work cards, including a valid driver's license and CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Previous experience in Guest Relations is required.
Military, Security, Law Enforcement, or customer service experience, with a minimum of three years in the hotel/casino industry, is preferred.
General computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, along with excellent attention to detail, are essential.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals and maintenance instructions. Must respond to common inquiries from employees or guests. Fluency in English is required; a second language is a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence, and effectively present information in various settings.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret various reports as needed.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle objects. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and perform various physical activities. Must be able to lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds.
