Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide targeted support and instruction to students with exceptionalities, utilizing a range of strategies and resources to promote academic achievement.
  • Work closely with the Special Education Coordinator to track student progress and make data-driven decisions to inform instruction.
  • Serve as a case manager for special education students, overseeing progress monitoring and facilitating effective communication with students, families, and service providers.

Requirements

  • Strong background in special education, including knowledge of student exceptionalities and documentation compliance.
  • Technology proficiency, particularly with Google Suite Applications (Drive, Classroom, Docs, Sheets).
  • Education - Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Previous or in current pursuit of Certification in Special Education preferred.
