Special Education Coordinator

ReNEW Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our school leadership team, the Special Education Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the academic and behavioral success of students with exceptionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and maintain compliant systems for special education files and track evaluations and documents for all students with exceptionalities.
- Manage student evaluation and individualized education plan (IEP) timelines, attend and ODR all Student Evaluation Plan (SEP) and IEP meetings.
- Coordinate and collect comprehensive data from multiple sources and convene meetings as needed with the most appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students on behavior incidents involving students with exceptionalities and lead Manifestation Determination Review meetings.
- Develop and coach on the implementation of the curriculum, enhance individual student programs and overall special education service delivery, and drive improved academic and behavioral outcomes through collaboration with curriculum and data.
- Ensure integrated service delivery by scheduling, coordinating, and collecting comprehensive data from multiple sources and convening Multidisciplinary Team, IEP, Intake, and MDR meetings in collaboration with Compliance Special Education Coordinator, Teacher Case Managers (TCMs), Pupil Appraisal Team Members, and related service providers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's level degree preferred.
- At least three years of effective teaching experience.
- At least one year of experience as an SEC with a record of clean audits.
