POSITION SUMMARY: This role is crucial for executing power-assisted assembly tasks on LINING machinery while overseeing production runs and orders through molding machines. The operator is responsible for quality assurance and maintaining a tidy workspace across Assembly, Main Molding, and Polycams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employs various tools such as calipers, air hoses, and picks to facilitate operations.
  • Utilizes picks to resolve machine jams effectively.
  • Operates power-assisted equipment to assemble components including caps, linings, and spouts.
  • Conducts visual inspections of parts and assemblies for defects, ensuring that defective items are segregated for rework or scrap, with all scrap properly labeled and returned to Quality Control for evaluation.
  • Responsible for replacing lining rolls when depleted or when job orders change.
  • Attends to up to five presses in accordance with production schedules and manufacturing needs.
  • Monitors all molded products hourly for defects.
  • Grinds runners and inspects cappers for runners.
  • Cleans tracks, bowls, conveyors, and upright conveyors as necessary, performing quality checks and ensuring product integrity.
  • Completes labeling tasks, ensuring that accepted and rejected products are appropriately separated.
  • Operates and supervises grinders and presses, ensuring that products are manufactured according to specifications, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Reports any issues or defects to the Team Leader, Processor, or Supervisor for prompt resolution and problem-solving.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, ensuring walkways and aisles are clear to promote safety.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties, including sweeping and trash disposal.
