POSITION SUMMARY: This role is essential for executing power-assisted assembly tasks on LINING machinery while overseeing production runs and orders through molding machines. The operator is responsible for quality assurance and maintaining a tidy workspace across Assembly, Main Molding, and Polycams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employs various tools such as calipers, air hoses, and picks for operational efficiency.
  • Utilizes picks to resolve machine jams effectively.
  • Operates power-assisted machinery to assemble components, including caps, linings, and spouts.
  • Conducts visual inspections of parts and assemblies to identify defects. The machinery automatically segregates defective items for rework or disposal, with all scrap being appropriately marked and dated before returning to Quality Control for evaluation.
  • Responsible for replacing lining rolls when depleted or when job orders change.
  • Attends to up to five presses in accordance with production schedules and manufacturing needs.
  • Performs hourly checks on all molded products for defects.
  • Grinds runners and inspects cappers for any remaining runners.
  • Maintains cleanliness of tracks, bowls, conveyors, and upright conveyors as required. Conducts thorough product inspections for defects and executes quality checks.
  • Completes labeling, affixes labels to boxes, and ensures proper separation of rejected and accepted products.
  • Operates and monitors grinders and presses, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Reports any issues or defects to the Team Leader, Processor, or Supervisor for prompt resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, ensuring walkways and aisles are clear to promote safety.
  • Performs general housekeeping tasks, including sweeping and waste removal.
