Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is currently seeking 4 Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a contract opportunity. This role is essential for the production of structural and mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will:

  • Conduct routine assembly operations utilizing manual techniques.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to the design, fabrication, and testing of innovative concepts and technologies.
  • Travel to various facilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with engineering schematics.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments.
  • Hands-on experience in the fabrication or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems adhering to industry standards.
  • Familiarity with machine shop processes.

Desired Skills:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes.
  • Ability to distinguish between manufacturing processes and in-service requirements.
  • Experience in evaluating materials, suppliers, and processes to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • A commitment to teamwork and achieving collective goals.
  • Understanding of material properties and shop processes, including safety and handling protocols.

Education:

Education and experience typically acquired through a high school diploma or GED, along with 1 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with first shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime.
