Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies to protect clients' assets.
- Communicate key risks and priorities to clients, providing sound advice to support informed decision-making.
- Apply consistent risk assessment and mitigation guidance, leveraging FM's Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets and company operating procedures.
- Prepare technical engineering reports, documenting conclusions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement risk improvement strategies.
- Develop long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant within your field.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (varies engineering disciplines considered); a chemical engineering background is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in heavy industry, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on understanding of various chemical and mechanical production processes and support systems.
- Experience in process safety practices and safety devices; familiarity with sprinkler protection is a plus.
- Independent and focused within a home office environment, with strong planning and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, geared towards a consulting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- A valid driver's license is required, and a company car is provided.

This is a field-based role, requiring travel to large, complex industrial client sites. The position is based in the greater Eastern Michigan/Ann Arbor area, with reporting to the FM Cleveland office. The hiring range for this position is $78,500 to $112,800, and the final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
