Job Summary

This position involves performing general unskilled manual work requiring no special training and little or no experience. You will assist operators and Class A laborers with all manual labor related to job tasks, lay out safety equipment, act as a flagman, direct traffic, clean up job sites, prep trucks for daily duties, wash trucks and tools, clean shops and yards, perform janitorial duties, drive trucks to and from jobs, operate smaller equipment, and attend safety meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist operators and Class A laborers with manual labor tasks
  • Lay out safety equipment, including cones, barrels, signs, and other materials
  • Act as a flagman, directing traffic around workmen and equipment
  • Clean up job sites and prepare trucks for daily duties
  • Perform janitorial duties, cleaning buildings, offices, restrooms, and other areas
  • Drive trucks to and from job sites and work as a trainee or occasional driver on other types of automotive equipment
  • Operate smaller equipment, such as landscaping and construction machinery
  • Maintain vehicles by properly cleaning, stocking, and inspecting them
  • Attend safety meetings to learn new rules, regulations, and safe work practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid CDL-Class B license. You must also be able to obtain a permit within 90 days of hire and a license within one year of date of hire. Additionally, you should be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
