We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior Security Protection Officer to join our team. This role will involve working closely with our client and requires a commitment to maintaining safety and security standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Junior Security Protection Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of principals from various security threats, both domestically and internationally. This role demands a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, sound judgment, and the ability to perform under pressure while adhering to instructions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protect principals from all types of security and safety risks.
  • Advance preparations:
    • Assist in conducting site assessments for events of varying scales.
  • Principal transportation:
    • Drive vehicles safely and comfortably.
    • Plan routes in advance, including alternative paths.
    • Conduct vehicle inspections for cleanliness and functionality.
  • Follow-up security:
    • Provide road security coverage for principal vehicles.
    • Identify potential threats and intervene as necessary.
    • Offer assistance in case of accidents or safety incidents.
  • Close protection:
    • Deliver security coverage for principals and guests in a professional manner, adhering to established policies and preferences.
  • Coordination:
    • Work with internal teams and department heads to support principal activities and events.
  • Communication:
    • Engage appropriately with all principals and stakeholders.
    • Prepare reports and deliver briefings, both written and oral.
  • Physical Security:
    • Perform static post duties or walking patrols.
    • Provide escorts as needed.
    • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Protective Operations.
  • Manage boating operations as required.
  • Supervisory Duties:
    • Oversee contract vendors on a routine basis.
  • Budget Input:
    • May assist in gathering information for budget-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant security experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Physical demands include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity required.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, night vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, or crawling.
  • Must be able to swim 25 meters unassisted.
  • Maintain professionalism and alertness throughout the shift.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to variable situations.
  • Proficient in interpreting various forms of instructions and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence effectively.
  • Skill in presenting information and responding to inquiries from diverse groups.
