Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Soliant. The SLP will be responsible for providing exceptional speech and language services to students, focusing on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to enhance communication skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Provide training and support to educators and families on strategies to facilitate speech and language development.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in speech-language pathology to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Virginia State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) certification to work in public schools.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school environment is advantageous.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and a variety of speech and language disorders is beneficial.
