The Department of Kinesiology at Fresno State is seeking highly motivated and qualified graduate students to fill the position of Teaching Associate. As a Teaching Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members to provide instruction and support to students in various Kinesiology Activity Classes and labs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom instruction and manage the learning environment
- Develop and implement course materials and activities
- Assess student performance and determine course grades
- Administer examinations and provide feedback to students
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in programmatic assessment procedures
- Maintain office hours and provide support to students outside of class
- Admission to the Graduate Program in the Department of Kinesiology, in good academic standing
- Enrollment in at least 6-units for the semester or in two courses toward the degree
- Demonstrated satisfactory progress towards the degree
- Ability to relate well with others within the academic environment and have the ability or potential to learn how to instruct and evaluate students
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Possession of an approved baccalaureate degree in Kinesiology or a related discipline
- Communication skills appropriate to the instructional setting
- Evidence of subject matter competence
- Ability and willingness to work with computers and common software

For full consideration, the application and all required materials must be submitted by Wednesday, July 31. Consideration will continue on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
