Overview

SAIC is seeking a Mission Command and Operational Subject Matter Expert to enhance our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct simulation experiments, ranging from company/troop studies to division federated experiments.
  • Assist as Project Lead for various experiments as needed.
  • Organize and develop staffing assignments for simulation and modeling purposes.
  • Act as a Project Lead in experimentation, ensuring proper Force Structure designs are modeled accurately.
  • Provide doctrinal expertise to internal experiment initiatives and support spiral integration efforts for the Model and Simulation team.
  • Collaborate with the Team Manager to draft the Mission Rehearsal Concept and Experiment Training Plan for all experiments.
  • Gain proficiency in OneSAF modeling for simulation experiments and SWAT modeling for TTX.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination of training requirements, TTPs, or Battle Drills for simulation experimentation.
  • Integrate with other teams, both civilian and military, to enhance collaboration.
  • Develop knowledge in Mission Command System Integration within the experimentation community.
  • Identify necessary mission command systems for experimentation and ensure their integration into local networking with the MBL Technology Team.
  • Conduct preliminary checks on mission command systems to verify operational functionality and role-playing positions for networking.
  • Exhibit expertise in Operational Planning and Coordination of maneuver formations from brigade to squad level for Armor and Infantry units.
  • Ensure operational products for experimentation are provided to all relevant role-playing personnel.
  • Coordinate with operational planners to load all operational graphics and documentation into mission command systems and the MBL portal.
  • Develop Experimentation Training Plans, identifying mission command training for military role players and simulation integration operator training requirements.
  • Identify training requirements for the utilization of mission command systems and SI training to support the experiment.
  • Allocate sufficient time for training personnel prior to experiment execution.

Qualifications

Required Education :

Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of experience; Master's degree with three (3) years of experience; PhD with no related experience; or four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills :

  • Effective communication skills to relay information to team members.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to address simulation issues collaboratively.
  • A minimum of a four-year college degree.
  • General knowledge of Army forces, tactics, and capabilities from the individual Soldier to brigade level.
  • Ability to teach and mentor military role players on ACM FDUs and future capabilities.
  • Adaptability to various situations impacting daily experimentation execution.
  • Knowledge of experimentation replication activities and scripting documentation.
  • Responsibility for ensuring experiment execution aligns with scheduling.
  • Coordination for personnel changes during experimentation execution with the Project Lead and ET Manager.

Clearance Requirement :

Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
