Position Overview

SAIC is seeking a Mission Command and Operational Subject Matter Expert to contribute expertise in Fort Moore, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct simulation experiments, ranging from company/troop studies to division federated experiments.
  • Assist in project leadership for experimentation initiatives.
  • Organize and develop personnel assignments for simulation integration and modeling.
  • Act as a project lead during experimentation, ensuring proper force structure design and modeling.
  • Provide doctrinal expertise to support internal experiments and integration efforts for the Model and Simulation team.
  • Collaborate with the Team Manager to draft Mission Rehearsal Concepts and Experiment Training Plans.
  • Gain proficiency in OneSAF modeling for simulation experiments and SWAT modeling for tabletop exercises.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination of training requirements and operational procedures for simulation experimentation.
  • Integrate with other military and civilian teams effectively.
  • Acquire knowledge of Mission Command System Integration within the experimentation community.
  • Identify necessary mission command systems for experimentation.
  • Ensure integration of mission command systems into local networking with the MBL Technology Team.
  • Conduct preliminary checks on mission command systems to verify functionality and role-playing positions for networking.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Operational Planning and Coordination for maneuver formations across various military levels.
  • Ensure operational products for experimentation are provided to role-playing personnel.
  • Coordinate with operational planners to load all operational graphics and documentation into mission command systems.
  • Develop Experimentation Training Plans, identifying mission command training needs for military role players.
  • Identify training requirements for mission command systems and simulation integration to support experiments.
  • Allocate time for training personnel prior to experiment execution.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of experience; Master's degree with three (3) years of experience; PhD with no experience; or four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills to relay information to team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities for simulation issues, collaborating with teams for resolutions.
  • A minimum of a four-year college degree.
  • General knowledge of Army forces, tactics, and capabilities from individual Soldier to brigade level.
  • Ability to teach and mentor military role players on advanced concepts and future capabilities.
  • Adaptability to various situations impacting daily experimentation execution.
  • Knowledge of experimentation replication activities and scripting documentation.
  • Responsibility for ensuring experiment execution aligns with scheduling.
  • Coordinate personnel changes during experimentation with project leads.

Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
