Position Summary: The Integrated MCS Trainer plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational readiness of military units through effective simulation training. This position involves collaborating with leadership to design and implement training programs that align with collective objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support unit leadership in the strategic planning of simulation training to achieve training goals.
- Coordinate and conduct simulation training across various levels, from Squad to Corps, utilizing programs such as LOTS, DXTRS, ExCIS, JLCCTC, JDLM, IEWTPT, and VBS3.
- Prepare classrooms, establish system networks, and provide instruction on relevant mission command information systems.
- Deliver training in accordance with Army standard Programs of Instruction (POI), adhering to approved instructional timelines.
- Ensure individual MCS training is conducted effectively, achieving a 90% success rate in student course completion and certification.
- Follow the guidelines set forth in the TC 6-0 series regarding the training of the Mission Command Warfighting Function.
- Provide coaching and instruction during training exercises, focusing on BSWS functionality and operations for personnel operating simulation workstations.
- Occasionally operate BSWS during training events to facilitate effective execution.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- A valid State Driver's License is necessary, along with the ability to maintain driving privileges.
- Advanced knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques in Army simulation training delivery.
- Familiarity with one or more Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS).
- Willingness to learn an additional Army MCIS and assist as an instructor when necessary.
- Expertise in relevant technology or subject matter.
- Proven teaching, instruction, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with military and civilian personnel.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) is required.
Experience:
- Recent military experience as a retired Army Warrant/NCO/Officer with Battalion or higher staff experience in Military Command Information Systems.
- A minimum of 6 years of MCIS experience is required.
- At least 10 years of service as an Army Veteran is required.
Work Environment: This position is based on-site, indoors, at a designated training complex.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with variability based on mission requirements.
