The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to manage and implement Occupational Safety and Environmental programs. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal EHS regulations as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and enhance EHS awareness in the workplace through established Corporate EHS programs
- Collaborate with customers to establish EHS requirements and priorities
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and maintain records
- Investigate injuries/incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective actions
- Assist in training personnel regarding EHS programs and regulations
- Respond to on-site emergencies
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 5% of the time
- 2-3 years of experience in EHS program management
- Program and project management experience
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification
- Experience with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI Standards
