Position Overview: The Warehouse Equipment Technician is responsible for executing various troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks on material handling equipment (MHE) and other essential facility systems. Typical Work Schedule: The standard working hours for this position are 7am-3:30pm Tuesday-Saturday, with some flexibility in scheduling preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment.
- Perform maintenance on various distribution center equipment, including refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washers, and air spray painting.
- Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using available specifications.
- Research necessary parts, tools, and technologies; perform welding and fabrication as required.
- Accurately track and document spare parts usage, inventory, and labor activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries and protect products and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant technical degree; professional training is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including familiarity with forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in material handling equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance databases such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
