Position Overview:

The Part-Time Server role offers an hourly wage of $14, along with complimentary parking. Typical shifts run from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

This position entails taking food and beverage orders from guests, serving meals and drinks, preparing detailed checks, and occasionally processing payments. Additional responsibilities may include guiding guests to their tables, serving patrons at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register. The Server is also tasked with verifying the age of patrons to ensure compliance with alcohol purchasing regulations. Above all, this role demands a commitment to delivering the highest standard of service to guests in a prompt and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Meet certification requirements relevant to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications.
  • Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's layout and the responsibilities associated with each job role.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu offerings and daily specials.
  • Provide guests with all requested food and beverage services in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as necessary.
  • Understand the operation of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
  • Perform cashiering duties, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and other side work as assigned.
  • Ensure that tables and service stations are well-stocked, tidy, and clean.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess Alcohol Awareness Certification and Food Handlers certification, compliant with state regulations.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Quickly assess and choose among alternative courses of action.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
