About the Role

Savvee Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Watch Officer to support our government client onsite in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Maintain Situational Awareness**: Monitor and analyze Department of Homeland Security (DHS) related events, incidents, and threats to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • **Manage Watch Functions**: Oversee the management of watch functions, processes, watch analysts, and information flow to ensure seamless operations.
  • **Mentor and Train**: Provide guidance and training to watch officers and other personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • **Prioritize Tasks**: Effectively prioritize tasks and efforts to coordinate information gathering and reporting from the team.
  • **Database Management**: Maintain a database, track incidents, and ensure reports are timely and accurate.
  • **Access and Utilize Databases**: Access, navigate, and utilize law enforcement databases to gather relevant information.
  • **Request Data**: Request data from Federal Protection Service (FPS) and DHS entities as needed.
  • **Analyze Data**: Analyze data and report all findings accordingly.
  • **Reporting and Briefing**: Produce incident reports, create reporting products, and supply briefs to stakeholders.
  • **Review and Approve Reports**: Review, update, and approve incident reports, briefs, and other materials prepared by the watch team before distribution.
  • **Draft Reports**: Draft Alert Bulletins, Flash reports, and Daily Updates to keep stakeholders informed.
  • **Participate in Operations Calls**: Participate in daily Operations Calls to discuss ongoing operations and address any concerns.
  • **Daily Operational Summary Report**: Draft the Daily Operational Summary Report, Daily Briefing Slides, and other essential reporting products.
  • **RFI Database Management**: Maintain the RFI Database, assign RFIs, track RFIs, and ensure RFIs are reviewed and approved.
  • **Brief Senior Leadership**: Brief Senior Leadership on priority information requirements.
  • **GIS Imagery**: Produce limited Geographic Information Systems (GIS) imagery to support reporting products.
  • **Watch Turnover/Pass Down Reports**: Maintain, update, and review watch turnover/pass down reports.
  • **Quality of Deliverables**: Ensure the quality of deliverables provided and performance of contract watch standards.
Requirements
  • **Bachelor's Degree**: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • **Experience**: Five or more years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, or as a first responder (law enforcement/fire/rescue).
  • **Watch Management Experience**: One year or more of experience managing a watch, mentoring & training watch officers, and general team leadership.
  • **Briefing Experience**: Prior experience briefing senior leadership.
  • **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and communication skills.
  • **DHS Suitability**: Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability.
  • **Shift Work**: Experience working in a 24x7x365 shift environment.
  • **Independence**: Ability to perform job duties independently.
  • **Microsoft Office**: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • **Secret Clearance**: Holds an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.
