Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints, providing routine care and management in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Obtain complete histories and perform pertinent physical exams, assessing normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients.
  • Perform or request and evaluate diagnostic studies as indicated, administering, ordering, furnishing, and prescribing medications as necessary.
  • Order and collect specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures, and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products.
  • Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges, completing appropriate paperwork as directed by supervising physicians.
  • Recognize and consider age-specific needs of patients, effectively communicating and interacting with patients, families, staff, and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
  • Facilitate the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services as needed, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of California.
  • National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from an agency accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Furnishing license issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
