Bon Secours is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the art and science of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of CT scanning equipment.
- Assure the quality of all images and confirm that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
- Perform computed tomography procedures, including intravenous injections and the administration of oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents.
- Assist the radiologist with biopsies, drainage procedures, and other interventions, utilizing sterile techniques and safe and effective use of all contrast and radiation materials.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
- Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
- Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred)
- State Licensure (preferred)
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. You may also be exposed to adverse weather conditions, high noise levels, and bright lights.
