Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our patients and residents.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Coordinate food preparation and meal service to ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals to patients and residents.
- Culinary Leadership: Plan and initiate cooking schedules, prepare and season food, and ensure proper portion control.
- Team Management: Supervise and assist dietary staff, including training and coaching to ensure high-quality service.
- Inventory Management: Determine food and supply needs, and notify management of any shortages or issues.
- Quality Control: Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods, and ensure compliance with established temperature goals.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare dietary setting.
- Certifications: Serve Safe Certified (preferred).
- Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and customer service orientation.
This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays. The successful candidate must be able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
