Job Description

AECOM is seeking a senior mechanical engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support mining projects in the planning and design phases. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in mechanical engineering, pump and piping design, modeling, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations, 3D models, and drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalency of education and or experience.
  • PE Certification.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Preferred Qualifications: PE in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, or the ability to acquire a PE.
