As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at HDR, you will be an essential member of our Building Engineering Services staff, responsible for creating project deliverables and working collaboratively with a nationwide team. Your primary duties will include coordinating the work of Mechanical Engineers, establishing client relations, and participating in design and production meetings. You will also assume the mechanical lead on many projects, participate in reviews with governing agencies, and conduct schematic and design development work sessions. Additionally, you will track financial aspects of projects and coordinate workload to ensure timely completion. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time away, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement. The expected compensation range for this position is $121,000 - $173,800, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination, and project management experience
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
