Lead Mechanic/Chief Inspector

Become an integral part of Total Aerospace Services as a Lead Mechanic/Chief Inspector, where you will be pivotal in the operations of our aviation repair facility. We are in search of a proficient professional who possesses a deep enthusiasm for aircraft engines and a meticulous approach to quality assurance to spearhead our inspection division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct non-destructive testing and assembly operations.
  • Mentor, supervise, and support staff within the repair facility.
  • Ensure adherence to aviation standards and airworthiness directives.
  • Verify that calibration checks for tools and equipment are current.
  • Oversee all phases of inspection from initial receipt to final clearance for service.
  • Accurately manage records and documentation.
  • Detect defects and report any unairworthy conditions in accordance with quality assurance protocols.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance or assembly.
  • Possession of a powerplant license is essential; IA certification is not required.
  • Preferred Level II/III NDT certification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reciprocating aircraft engines.
  • Familiarity with Lycoming and Continental engine models is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
