We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with blood and marrow transplant patients, patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities- Provide emotional, spiritual, religious, and cultural support to patients and their significant others
- Apply principles of oncology nursing to deliver high-quality patient care
- Consider age-related factors in the assessment, care, and treatment of oncology patients
- Consider principles of death and dying when caring for terminally ill oncology patients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse RN
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Provider certification (preferred)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification (preferred)
