Conflicts Resolution Specialist

An international law firm with offices in Washington, D.C. is seeking a full-time Conflicts and Intake Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with conflicts of interest policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate various Firm databases and software, including conflicts software, client/matter database software, and corporate affiliations software.
- Process client/matter intake requests, reviewing and editing requests, and interacting with staff and attorneys to obtain missing information.
- Conduct conflicts searches, analyzing and filtering results, and providing useful information to the Conflicts & Intake Analysts and the requesting attorney.
- Communicate with Accounting, Records Management, and other departments as necessary.
- Ensure the accuracy of data produced on daily reports of potential new client/matters and weekly reports of finalized new client/matters.
- Organize workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively, maintaining a strong focus and prioritizing tasks.
- Provide thorough results quickly, maintaining accuracy and creative thinking under time constraints.
- A four-year college degree and/or equivalent, significant, meaningful experience in the conflicts department of a law firm.
- A minimum of 40 wpm typing.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness commensurate to handling confidential and sensitive material.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, ability to efficiently search the Internet, and experience working in databases.
- Reliability, dependability, and strong motivation to respond to requests quickly.
- Flexibility to work additional hours and/or shifts, as necessary.
