Our offerings include specialized cardiology surgical services, orthopedic rehabilitation, and psychiatric care.
Position Summary:
The role involves conducting non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic evaluations. The professional will utilize procedural data to assess cardiac conditions and perform both quantitative and qualitative interpretations of video recordings while obtaining patient histories.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Select and execute appropriate procedures, integrating clinical findings and test results into a comprehensive diagnostic impression.
2. Assist junior technical staff as needed, including providing clinical impressions and reviewing diagnostic findings.
3. Participate in the education of post-graduate medical trainees regarding laboratory methods, procedures, and interpretive findings.
4. Discuss clinical and diagnostic results with medical personnel and may communicate findings to attending or referring physicians.
5. Operate and maintain testing equipment and supplies in accordance with established standards.
6. Perform minor maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment.
7. Input preliminary report information into the hospital's computer system following the physician's initial dictation.
8. Manage billing for inpatient and outpatient tests or procedures.
9. Schedule inpatient testing procedures as necessary.
10. Assist in prioritizing testing services based on the analysis of referred clinical information.
11. Engage in Quality Improvement initiatives.
12. Maintain professional knowledge through attendance at conferences and participation in professional organizations.
Education Requirements:
Required: Associate's Degree in Cardiac Services or applied sciences, or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements:
Required: Minimum of 6 months of experience in echocardiography.
Certifications:
Required: Registered or eligible for RDCS, BLS.
