Job Summary:

As a Clinical Hospitalist at Virginia Jobs, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and improving the quality and efficiency of inpatient services. Your expertise will be essential in managing complex patients, working collaboratively with the inter-professional team, and contributing to the hospital's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Admit and manage patients on a hospitalist-led inpatient service, including those requiring intensive care unit care.
• Triage medicine patients requiring admission in the Emergency Department and ensure seamless service coverage 24/7.
• Supervise and support nurse practitioners from the hospitalist service and maintain timely compliance with institutional policies.

Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine and direct experience managing complex inpatients.
• Competency in standard inpatient procedures, including arterial blood gas interpretation and central line placement.
• A solid understanding of the hospitalist role and function, as well as experience working in a diverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, providing clear communication and collaboration.
