Occupational Health Nurse Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist. This role is responsible for providing expert, integrated, cost-effective, quality patient care through the coordination of clinical care for occupational health clients and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-employment health assessments on new employees and allied health professionals
- Coordinate and perform activities related to ongoing employee health management, including immunization programs and TB testing
- Provide nursing care, including administration of injections, dispensing non-prescription medications, and vital signs monitoring
- Collaborate with Infection Control and physicians to investigate, report, and follow-through on employee exposures to infectious or communicable diseases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school OR Associate's degree with an additional two years of nursing experience
- Three years of clinical nursing experience, with occupational health nursing experience preferred
- RN licensure in Texas State (or Compact State) within 60 days AND BLS certification
Working Conditions: This role may require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
