Revenue Accountant

At Avocado Green Brands, we're seeking a highly skilled Revenue Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role will play a crucial part in reviewing, reconciling, and validating revenue streams in accordance with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of our business model and be able to work cross-functionally across different departments. This is an excellent opportunity to learn different aspects of accounting and contribute to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with revenue recognition processes, including recording revenue in NetSuite.
  • Perform revenue-related general ledger account reconciliations, including deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and allowance for doubtful accounts.
  • Perform monthly fluctuation analysis for revenue and revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in documenting revenue-related business processes to support our order-to-cash process.
  • Assist with annual audits, including preparing supporting schedules and variance analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in revenue operations and accounts receivable.
  • Strong belief in the value of customer service.
  • Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills to compile and validate large amounts of data.
  • Acute attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
