Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented OR Technician to join our team at AHMC-Seton Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an OR Technician, with a strong background in scrubbing and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
