**Job Summary:**

At YMCA of the North, we're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Camp Heritage Assistant. As a key member of our summer camp staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success and enjoyment of our campers.

As a Camp Heritage Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist the Camp Counselor in planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs for children. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences that focus on the YMCA's core values of caring, equity, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Camp Counselor in supervising and organizing campers during activities and throughout the camp;
  • Applying social emotional learning concepts and basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, and respect for diversity;
  • Communicating effectively with groups of all ages and skill levels, providing necessary instruction, and ensuring campers are properly supervised at all times;
  • Participating in the development and implementation of program activities within the mission and outcomes;
