Job Overview

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and guide a team in the execution and completion of designated construction projects, ensuring that all work meets the required quality standards and complies with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, along with a solid understanding of the construction trade. Candidates should demonstrate dependability and embody the core values and principles of our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid and current driver's license from Massachusetts or a neighboring state.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction sector, including building practices and engineering principles.
  • Comprehension of construction methodologies, project phases, scheduling, materials, equipment procurement, and cost estimation.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize blueprints and other technical project documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using software tools such as Google Docs, Google Calendar, BuilderTrend, Excel, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, sit, and perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Access to a legally insured and inspected vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Preferred but not mandatory: prior experience in construction management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and analyze contract documents to ensure compliance with construction standards.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Provide daily updates on project progress, adherence to standards, and any outstanding issues.
  • Conduct inspections of work performed by various trades to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Document any discrepancies or deviations found during inspections.
  • Regularly review contractor's as-built drawings to verify that all modifications are accurately recorded.
  • Evaluate monthly payment requests and provide recommendations to project management.
  • Maintain comprehensive construction records, including correspondence, requests for information, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with additional tasks to support project success.
  • Develop and manage the Weekly Master Schedule and oversee updates from Assistant Project Managers.
  • Facilitate the application process for building permits and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting from $85,000.00 annually
