Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Assistant II to join our Urology Surgery team at Mass General Brigham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our physicians and staff, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new patient appointments, scheduling, and follow-up communications
  • Handle phone calls, messages, and emails related to urology access center line and appointments
  • Review patient demographic information, insurance details, and referral numbers
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coordinators, departments, and external organizations
  • Perform administrative tasks, including faxing, filing, photocopying, and mailings
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient records and correspondence
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain a smooth department operation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum six months of applicable work experience; additional training in office systems or other post-high school education a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of practice operations, medical terminology, and insurance processes
Working Conditions

This role is based in a hospital-based ambulatory practice, with exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, and medical equipment.
