Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with SRE and service team engineers to ensure database solutions meet service team requirements.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native database technologies in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working in public or private cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.
  • Familiarity with elements of our greater service tech stack, including containerized Kubernetes-based microservice architectures, performance testing platforms, and tools.
  • Experience with database dashboarding as a service.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant database environments is a plus.
  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, repeatable self-serve gitops-based deployments, and infrastructure-as-code technologies (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Proficient in functional programming languages (including Python) and declarative programming languages (e.g., SQL, MySQL).
  • Hands-on experience with database administration for both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Ability to drive best practices and set standards for the team.
  • Skill in solving business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices.
