Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will provide critical support to the business in revenue recognition, contract profitability, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role will be responsible for day-to-day analysis of new contracts, modifications, and recognition status, as well as weekly and monthly revenue recognition processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures documentation.
- Develop and communicate revenue status reports.
- Provide revenue recognition training to cross-functional teams.
- Review and assess new contracts against ASC606 criteria.
- Monitor contract modifications, risk authorizations, and funding levels.
- Ensure the integrity, consistency, reliability, and efficiency of revenue recognition processes.
- Analyze contract incentive and performance fee applicability.
- Monitor the Financial Accounting Standards Board for new Accounting Standards updates.
- Collect and analyze program estimates at completion.
- Continually identify and implement opportunities for revenue system improvements.
Requirements:
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience with an emphasis on technical accounting exposure.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of government contracts and Tier One ERP systems.
