Security Solutions Architect

The Security Solutions Architect will work directly with customers and prospects as a product specialist on Data Theorem technologies and solutions. As a subject matter expert, they will seek to understand customer problems in API, mobile, web, and cloud security. They will evaluate and recommend specific Data Theorem products delivering maximum value to customers. Additionally, they will identify when there is not a technical fit between customer problems and Data Theorem solutions. This role will also proactively identify new market opportunities and work closely with internal teams to address them.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver presentations explaining key technical aspects of solutions that benefit customers and prospects.
- Work with the product and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the primary outcome of a successful deal.
- Collaborate with business partners like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft in our go-to-market efforts for co-selling through their respective cloud marketplaces.
- Demonstrate an understanding of ongoing customer needs and manage expectations on both the customer and sales sides.
- Provide answers to client questions about Data Theorem products, servicing, and technical aspects.
- Tailor demonstrations for customers, trade shows, and special events.
- Set up and maintain a successful trial period, answering questions and troubleshooting as needed.
- Think critically and suggest improvements leading to cost savings or client benefits.
- Suggest new features to improve products, shorten sales cycles, increase adoption, and/or deliver more value.
- Understand the competitive landscape of direct and indirect competitors in application security and cloud security.
- Research the security industry to know changes impacting current and future sales.
- Arrange and lead training for customers.
- Work with clients to solve technical hurdles during the sales process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role in the Security and/or Cloud Space.
- Ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts.
- Strong communication skills to navigate various internal and external environments.
- Proven sales skills with an eye for results.
- Coaching skills to help colleagues understand new technical concepts.
- A strong networker who can offer support and assistance to customers and clients.
- An industry insider who understands current trends and anticipates change.
