We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Denver Springs, a 96-bed behavioral hospital located in Englewood, CO.
About the Role:
- Assess the needs of walk-in and phone callers and complete initial psychiatric assessments on patients seeking treatment.
- Provide support to staff in providing comprehensive assessments and quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders.
- Screen for medical and behavioral emergency conditions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and quality therapeutic care to patients, coordinating with the clinical team and on-call physician to ensure their needs are met.
- Interpret treatment to patients and families to help reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of care and continuation of treatment.
- Complete administrative processes of admission and precertification of care with external payers, as necessary.
Requirements:
- RN Licensure, LBSW, LSW, CSW, LPP, LPCC, LPC, MPFT, MFTC, LMFT, ACA, ACC, ADDC, or ACD accepted.
- Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
